RoCkEt ChAlLeNgE !!

These last couple of weeks ( 7 weeks ) we have been learning, designing, and "building" our own rockets. It has been a really fun experiment with Matua Troy, we have learnt a lot about water rockets. Last week when we had our lesson with Matua Troy, it was probably my favourite one so far out of all of them and I cannot wait for the next lessons coming up with Matua Troy. We had seen that our rocket will fly pretty good and straight because we were testing it out with lite things, such as spinning  the rocket by tying a piece of string and spinning it around with the string. It was a success and me and my partner was definitely proud of it. The only dumb thing is that there was only 2 of us at school out of 4 because the other 2 were sick. But it was definitely a success with the work we ad done and we were proud.

  1. You girls did a great job with testing your rocket. I think it passed the tests well, so look forward to launching it. Maybe next time you could explain what you were testing for (stability, finding the centre of gravity etc) and what you learnt about Newton's laws.

  2. Hi there my name is Franky, I go to Paihia School. It sounds like you were having lots of fun building and designing rockets with Matua Troy. It’s funny because we have just created paper rockets to in our class. How did you make the rockets fly? Last year we used baking soda and vinegar and our rocket went flying. Can’t wait to see more awesome work of yours.
    Bye.
