  1. Hi Roxy,

My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you over the summer as part of the Summer Learning Journey. It's great to see that you've started blogging and we look forward to reading more of this awesome slide show!

Week 1, Day 1, Activity 1: Good work! Those are great facts about Maui. His brothers were a little bit mean to him, weren't they! I wonder why they wouldn't let him go fishing with them. Why do you think that was?
Have you read any other stories about Maui? There's another really good one about Maui and the sun which is my favourite. Here is the link if you'd like to read it: http://eng.mataurangamaori.tki.org.nz/Support-materials/Te-Reo-Maori/Maori-Myths-Legends-and-Contemporary-Stories/How-Maui-slowed-the-sun

I look forward to reading more of your blog over the summer.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.

  2. Kia Ora Roxy,

We are so excited to see you get involved with the Summer Learning Journey! I can tell you have put a lot of effort into each post and I'm very impressed.

I enjoyed reading the fun facts about your family. That's super cool that your dad likes going diving. I've always wanted to get my dive license but going so deep into the ocean sometimes scares me. Do you think you'd ever like to learn to dive?

Can you tell me two awesome facts about yourself? I'd love to get to know you better too. A fun fact about myself would be that when I was younger I used to swim competitively in competitions called 'carnivals' with my sister and our favourite part about the competitions was that Mum would always buy us powerades to keep our energy up.

  4. Hi there Roxy,

Hope you’re having a good summer. My name is Jade F and I am one of the blog commenters from the Summer Learning Journey!

I am very impressed with how you’ve set your activities up in a presentation. Very well organised! I can see you really put in a lot of effort in each slide and I love that you’ve used different colours and fonts for each slide, very creative!

I especially liked your Week 2 activity where you shared your recipe for chocolate s. They look delicious! I might just try this recipe at home. :) Do you make these at home often? They look pretty easy to make!

I look forward to reading more of your presentation and seeing more of your activities that you post up! Keep up the amazing work Payton.

    All the best,
    Jade F :)
